Once upon a time, there was a kitty.  He was lonely, and was walking down a cold alleyway on a dark night. Suddenly, he heard a noise  from behind. He shivered in fear, because there was only one thing that likes to hide in dark alleyways, and it liked to eat kitties.  He then saw a dark shadow run fast across the allyway, then it sat in the middle, blocking out all the light. The large thing growled melovently at the kitty.... The kitty tried to be brave, he fluffed up his tail and extended his claws.  He growled loudly at the shape as his eyes reflected in the dark.
The shape, being used to that though, made a snarling that sounded like a mocked and mangled form of laughter. The cat slowly backed up, so slow as to the creature not being able to detect it- for he knew that if the creature saw his true fear, the creature would attack.  The cat's heart was beating rapidly. He knew not of what.. or who possibly, this creature was.
The creature smiled, it's long, sharp teeth somehow gleaming brightly even though there was no light.  The cat couldn't think.  All he knew was his next move would determine life or death, but if he didn't think soon enough, he would be dead anyway.  He decided that it was an all or nothing- he launched himself at the creature- right for the eyes. The creature howled in pain as the kitty dug it's long, sharp claws into it's eyes- it wasn't expecting reltaliation.  The cat then bit and clawed at everything his paws touched.  The creature's face was quickly mutilated.
The creature rammed it's face into a cold tin can, desperate to get the cat off of it's face. The cat, stunned, fell off and clattered to the cold hard ground. The creature was furious- no question if it was going to let him die quick or slow and painful.
The cat, recovering it's senses before the creature did, ran past it and into the moonlit streets, running for it's nine lives.  He arrived at his home in his own alleyway, where many other cats lived.  He told them while at the same time trying to catch his breath, all that had happened.  The cat's friends and family agreed that they shall band together to defeat this creature once and for all.  For the lives of cats everywhere!
They began devising a plan....then they  realized that no one really knew anything about the creature. Someone had to follow it, to learn, to be able to defeat it.  They tried to decide who to choose, The biggest, toughest cat, or the smallest cat.  The tough cat could defend itself if the creature attacked, but the small cat, though vulnereble, could hide easier and possibly not have to fight at all.
They decided to pick the smallest cat, which was a tiny, young cat with emerald green eyes. he was scared, but his family needed him, and he had a brave little heart, so he agreed to do it. For his family. The kitten, whose paws were shaking, snuck out from behind the corner of the building.  He hid under boxes and anything he could crawl under to avoid being spotted.  He suddenly stopped to listen because he heard an awful snorting noise.  He could smell the reek of blood as well.  the creature was exausted from the beating and was resting underneath a dumpster.
The kitten observed the creature carefully.  He couldn't see much, but he could see bright red bleeding wounds around what the kitten assumed was the face. He couldn't get a real look of the creature because it was still pitch black- the creature never strayed from the shadows.  The kitten jumped as the creature snorted in its sleep.  The classic jump of suspense.  The kitten inched closer making sure not to make a sound.  He was there to observe the creature, and make it back alive.  He got close enough to get a whiff of the creature's scent, more than just its blood.
The kitten didn't recognize the scent, but being young as he is didn't figure he would anyways. He was inching ever so closely and slowly back at the creature, when suddenly he made a mistake- his back paw slipped and it made a slight scuffling sound, but enough to make the creature wake up.  The creature jolted up and snarled loudly.  The kitten darted behind some garbage cans, noisily.  The creature crashed through the garbage that surrounded it and chased the kitten. Luckily, he was nimble and jumped up onto a windowsill, out of the creature's reach.
The creature stopped for a moment, then seemed to shrink in the darkness. suddenly it jumped up with suprisingly high ability and scratched at the tiny black kitten. the kitten, hit hard, went flying all the way out of the alley and into the streets. Luckily, not being stunned for long by the incident, recovered it's senses quick enough to land on all four feet and run off into the darkness, the creature in hot pursit. The kitten knew better than to run home and lead the creature back to the other cats.  He ran in the complete opposite direction down the streets.  He was far ahead of the creature, but he screeched to a hault before the wall of speeding cars on a busy highway.  The kitten stopped, trapped, sitting right under a streetlamp.  Even if he would be killed by the creature, now he would get a glimpse of its face.
The kitten waited. The creature came charging at the small kitten standing under the light. The creature came close, very close- then suddenly skidded to a halt. The kitten stood, confused, as to why the creature stopped. The creature stood, still swathed in shadows, and circled around. The kitten was shaking- he could smell the creature's foul breath as it huffed in anger- it's breath smelled of death and decay.
The kitten realized that the creature was afraid, or maybe even weakened by the light!  He stayed right where he was, not about to move and become once again vulnerable.  The creature paced around the halo of light breathing heavily.  Suddenly, a big truck's horn was heard as it sped down the road parallel to them.  The headlights blindingly lit up the scene.  The kitten, startled, jumped and turned to look at the car just as instinct says to. The creature screeched horribly and sprinted away into the darkness before the kitten could turn back around to see the creature.
His ears were still pinned back as he looked around, debating whether it was safe to run.  He took the risk and fled across the street, where the lights of cars were always shining and the creature could not follow, risking his life still against the charging cars.  He bolted straight for home to report back what he saw.  When he reached his clan it was obvious that he was terrified and sort of confused by how badly he was shaking and how he kept stuttering.  The cats looked concerned and curious at the kitten, but got his information. Light was the creature's weakness. But how would they use it to stop the creature? First of all, the creature ran away and nobody knew where it was. Second, they couldn't just clothe themselves in light.
Then the kitten had an idea- what if they attacked it during the day? Some of the cats could follow to where the creature is normally, see if it has a hideout, then they could ambush it there during the day! The kitten told his family of the plan. They agreed to consider it, but it seemed dangerous so they decided to try coming up with a few other plans as well.  Another plan would be to chase or lure the creature out into the light and see what would happen to it. It could fit with the other plan as well. One cat lures, the rest ambush once the creature was out of hiding. The cats also came up with a third plan- what if they found a way to trap the creature? They could take the risk of trying to kill it.... but that could cost more lives than just trapping it.
They had to think fast because it would not be long before sunrise, and they would never find the creature then because it would already be hiding and they couldn't follow it. They decided to send out a few family members to try to track down the creature as soon as possible- they didn't want the creature to find them before they found it.  The cats scurried off into the darkness with defiant faces.  One of them found a trail of blood near the street lamp where it was last seen.  She turned to call to the other that she found something, but they had already vanished to their search posts. She looked up at the sky- the sun was growing a bloody red and stained the bruised coloured sky with it's leaks of blood.  It would have looked beautiful had it been on some other night.
Just then she realized that they had to find it fast if it wasn't hiding already.  Since she was alone, she took it upon herself to find it.  She followed the blood trail behind some garbage cans.  The smell of blood and the reek of the creature's breath was strong, and was still early so the alley was still dark.  Then, she had an idea.  It was light enough now that she could see around her, and little did she know, the creature was nearly blinded by the first cat's attack to its eyes.
She mewed loudly, trying to sound in pain or injured and an easy meal.  The creature moaned and lifted its head up. It was in pain, and had mostly lost its appetite, but it had to eat.  It got up, growling deeply and quietly snuck toward the cat.  Its glowing eyes were almost swollen shut, so it had to rely on the sense of smell and other senses.  Meanwhile, the other cats heard their sister screaming and ran to her rescue.  They were sure she had been hurt.
Back with the creature, the cat jumped when she heard it clumsily bump into a garbage can.  The sun was even higher now and soon the creature would be in the light.  The other cats came running and saw that their sister wasn't really hurt.  She motioned with her eyes for them to come.  The creature began to wobble out of the alley, snorting and moaning as it walked.  The cats came behind it and blocked its escape.  As the sun rose from behind a building, a blinding ray of light shown on the group.  The cats gazed with wide eyes and gaping mouths as instead of seeing what they expected to be a hideous creature, they saw it screech horribly and painfully as its body turned to particles, faded into a black mist, and dissapeared into the breeze.
They stood there for seconds that seemed more like an hour after it was gone. Had they defeated it?  Surely they must have, it was nowhere in sight and it couldn't possibly still be alive. It appeared to have burnt up in the sun and turned to dust.  The cats ran to their Alley and told the other cats that it was now safe and they could rejoice their victory and freedom.
Meanwhile, in the alley where the creature was left, a cloud of dust blew in. It swirled around a bit and began to take a form in the concealment of the creature's home.  Soon, a mew was heard and a little white cat with long, angelic fur stepped out of the alley.  As she scurried away, a very noticable scar of a bite mark was visible on her neck.  Only to interpretation is the world safe or not.
